Happy Birthday?
As I celebrate my 16th year, I am flooded with worry. What am I supposed to do with myself? I am in adolescent limbo, not yet considered independent and yet grown out of childhood past times. I think of what I'll say when I am older and wiser, what I'll think of my present actions. My prediction is that I shall laugh and kid about my naive and stubborn opinions of the world. And more importantly my dangerously vivid imagination. It kind of scares me how easily I can be enthralled with something and spend days, weeks even months lingering on it. How fickle.
Or I may just be a teenaged girl who spends too much of her time worrying about herself...

Retail Therapy
I know this might seem pathetic to others who may be better off or more knowledgeable in the fashion world that I yearn to one day be a part of.
But at this particular moment I don't really care:
Marc Jacobs cream/navy patent heels!

All at once
Hello, two major events happened this past week both of which I am thrilled about!
Number 1: There's a new edition to my family! Ollie the shapendoe (dutch sheepdog) who is only 2 months old arrived on Friday. I feel a wonderful relationship is going to bloom between us. So far my camera is charging so when it's done I will try and post some pictures of him and his lovelyness.
Number 2: (A bit overshadowed by Number 1)
Backstory: At the beginning of the school year in September, my french teacher asked me if I wanted to apply for an exchange program to France. Obviously this was an opportunity I couldn't pass up so I said yes.
And now I've heard news that I've been successfully matched! I wouldn't want to disclose another person's information without their permission so I'll just say her name is Florence.
EXCITING? YES.
For some visual appeal, here is a song, haha.

'Boy' she said courteously 'why are you crying?'
I must say, Peter Pan is a definite classic.
While I spent my time as a young naive child I never approached this story until sadly I was first introduced to it via the 2003 movie. The movie wasn't that bad, but I confess that nothing measures up to the pure magic written by J.M Barrie. The Disney cartoon version isn't that bad either, but I digress.
And I quote:
'If you shut your eyes and are a lucky one, you may see at times a shapeless pool of lovely pale colours suspended in the darkness; then if you squeeze your eyes tighter, the pool begins to take shape, and the colours become so vivid that with another squeeze they must go on fire. But just before they go on fire you see the lagoon.'
Full of imagination. This book makes me want to time-travel back to when I was 8 or so and just fly away to the Neverland with the Mermaid Lagoon and the Redskins and the Lost Boys and of course Hook. One thing I also noticed about reading this book is that when you're older it's harder to let go of the fact that Wendy, Michael and John are away from home for so long. When I was little, it was often the case that all my attention was fixed on the situation happening, whereas now I seem to dwell more on what has previously happened and the circumstances of (in the case) the children's actions.
After that deep dwelling into my reading styles I feel exhausted.

Easter Recovery
No matter what you celebrated or what you didn't celebrate this long weekend I say to you:
Phew that was fun!
Hope everyone gorged themsleves on chocolate!
'Cause I did and it's more fun when there's company.

I was so enjoying the tiny little snippet of nice weather we've had. For a split second I was sitting outside, sipping my green tea with my novel and knitted blanket in paradise when it had to SNOW THE NEXT DAY, after that it was FREEZING RAIN. Ugh, way to dampen my spirits.
I wish that were me.
