'Boy' she said courteously 'why are you crying?'

I must say, Peter Pan is a definite classic.

While I spent my time as a young naive child I never approached this story until sadly I was first introduced to it via the 2003 movie. The movie wasn't that bad, but I confess that nothing measures up to the pure magic written by J.M Barrie. The Disney cartoon version isn't that bad either, but I digress.

And I quote:

'If you shut your eyes and are a lucky one, you may see at times a shapeless pool of lovely pale colours suspended in the darkness; then if you squeeze your eyes tighter, the pool begins to take shape, and the colours become so vivid that with another squeeze they must go on fire. But just before they go on fire you see the lagoon.'

Full of imagination. This book makes me want to time-travel back to when I was 8 or so and just fly away to the Neverland with the Mermaid Lagoon and the Redskins and the Lost Boys and of course Hook. One thing I also noticed about reading this book is that when you're older it's harder to let go of the fact that Wendy, Michael and John are away from home for so long. When I was little, it was often the case that all my attention was fixed on the situation happening, whereas now I seem to dwell more on what has previously happened and the circumstances of (in the case) the children's actions.

After that deep dwelling into my reading styles I feel exhausted.

Easter Recovery

No matter what you celebrated or what you didn't celebrate this long weekend I say to you:
Phew that was fun!
Hope everyone gorged themsleves on chocolate!
'Cause I did and it's more fun when there's company.

I was so enjoying the tiny little snippet of nice weather we've had. For a split second I was sitting outside, sipping my green tea with my novel and knitted blanket in paradise when it had to SNOW THE NEXT DAY, after that it was FREEZING RAIN. Ugh, way to dampen my spirits.

I wish that were me.

Mr. Sandman, give me your dreams.

Hello,
I would like to introduce you to the icon of my life:

Lucille Ball

Not only was she a pioneer for funny women, her charisma makes you instantly love her. I love Lucy, Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour, Here's Lucy...all of her appearances brought laughter and a warm fuzzy feeling inside (..well for me at least) to her audience.

From her lipstick to her hair, Lucy won me over and many others.

Her comedy still resonates today and I prefer her over many other "comedians" out there...

COUGHSARAHSILVERMANCOUGH

Oh and by the way, she's way gorgeous to boot, even when she was in her forties. (How naive I sound, as if forty is actually old )

Non, Je Ne Regrette Rien

Hello non-existent readers! I have nothing to write about because I feel that I am too boring compared to all of the other amazing bloggers out there.

I could share some music maybe..

Lately my music choices have been love-soaked oldies with that dusty kind of tone to them. Get what I'm sayin'? The ones where just by listening to the silence before the music starts you know it's a classic.

Did that make any sense? I think not.

Louis Armstrong, Edith Piaf, Nat King Cole, Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby and Sarah Vaughan = Good stuff.

Marlon Brando, Vivien Leigh, Lucille Ball, Desi Arnaz, Cary Grant, Clark Gable, Sophia Loren and Audrey Hepburn = AMAZING

Pictures aren't loading so they'll be here soon.

Like tomorrow, evening...night...maybe Thursday.

Todaayy I took pictures and threw out old clothes.

You know it's that time of month...when you clean.

Here's an accidental picture of my arm!

(Had it on timer but I tried to adjust the strap and it clicked, which scared and disappointed me simultaneously)

My brother's birthday was on Wednesday and that was followed by my friend's birthday. Two parties in a row aren't very easy on your math test study plans.

Also I got my hair did, it looks nice in my opinion..

Well that's the only opinion I take into account when it comes to my hair so, hawhaw.

Here's my muse:

Not so much on her anti-immigrant, homophobic, anti-islam and anti-interracial relationship attitude...but more so on her look.
